Job Summary
The
Project Manager – Robotic Hull Painting is responsible for the overall
planning, execution, and delivery of robotic and manual hull painting projects
on offshore FPSOs. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule,
within budget, and in compliance with client specifications, quality standards,
and offshore regulatory requirements.

Project
Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and
manage end-to-end robotic hull painting projects
- Develop project
execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations
- Ensure alignment
between project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Manage daily offshore
project activities and progress tracking
Team
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate
supervisors, robotic operators, blasters, painters, QA/QC, and safety
teams
- Assign tasks, monitor
performance, and ensure effective workforce utilization
- Foster strong
collaboration between offshore and onshore support teams
- Provide clear
direction and resolve operational challenges promptly
Robotic
Hull Painting Operations
- Oversee robotic hull
painting and surface preparation activities
- Ensure correct
deployment and operation of robotic systems
- Coordinate interface
between robotic operations and manual blasting/painting
- Address operational
risks and ensure optimal performance of automated systems
HSE
& SIMOPS Management
- Ensure full compliance
with offshore HSE standards and PTW requirements
- Lead toolbox talks,
risk assessments, and daily coordination meetings
- Manage SIMOPS
activities to prevent operational conflicts
- Enforce safety
standards and promote a strong safety culture on site
Quality
& Compliance
- Ensure all works
comply with approved specifications, ITPs, and coating standards
- Coordinate with QA/QC
teams to address quality issues and NCRs
- Ensure all
inspections, testing, and approvals are completed as required
- Maintain high-quality
delivery in line with client expectations
Client
& Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary
point of contact for client representatives offshore
- Provide regular
progress updates, reports, and project status reviews
- Manage client
expectations and handle change requests professionally
- Support audits,
inspections, and client meetings
Cost
& Schedule Control
- Monitor project
budgets and control costs effectively
- Track progress against
schedules and implement recovery plans where required
- Manage procurement and
logistics in coordination with onshore teams
- Identify risks and
implement mitigation strategies
Documentation
& Reporting
- Ensure accurate
project documentation, reports, and records are maintained
- Prepare daily, weekly,
and monthly progress reports
- Ensure proper close-out documentation upon project completion
