Key Responsibilities
Offshore Safety Management
Enforce offshore HSE Management System requirements related to UHP pump operations
Conduct and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Task Risk Assessments (TRA), and toolbox talks
Identify and control hazards related to high-pressure fluid injection, hose whip, stored energy, vessel motion, and confined spaces
Ensure strict compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), Lock-Out / Tag-Out (LOTO), isolation, and depressurization procedures
UHP Pump Operational Oversight
Monitor UHP pump setup, operation, testing, and shutdown onboard the FPSO
Verify certification and pressure ratings of hoses, couplings, relief valves, gauges, and fittings
Ensure appropriate exclusion zones, barricading, signage, and deck management
Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe acts or conditions are identified
SIMOPS & Marine Interface
Coordinate with offshore Production, Maintenance, Marine, and Lifting teams to manage Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS)
Ensure UHP activities do not conflict with marine operations, lifting activities, hot work, or live systems
Monitor weather, sea state, and vessel motion; suspend work when conditions are unsafe
Apply Dropped Object Prevention (DROPS) controls during all deck and elevated activities
Compliance, Reporting & Audits
Ensure compliance with offshore regulations, flag-state requirements, and client HSE standards
Maintain offshore safety documentation including PTWs, JSAs, isolation certificates, gas test records, and daily safety reports
Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Track and close out corrective and preventive actions
Emergency Response & Training
Participate in FPSO emergency response drills (fire, gas, medical, abandon ship)
Ensure UHP crews are trained in high-pressure injection injury response and emergency shutdown procedures
Deliver offshore HSE inductions and toolbox talks related to UHP pump operations
