Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on maintenance, repair, testing, and re-certification of valves in workshop and field locations.
  • Carry out in-place testing of safety relief valves and verify valve set pressure against specified requirements.
  • Perform adjustment, testing, and re-certification of pressure safety valves (PSVs) and pressure relief valves (PRVs).
  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, assemble, and test process, control, and safety valves.
  • Assemble and set safety valves in accordance with approved procedures and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform valve seat lapping and replacement of damaged or worn valve trim and components.
  • Conduct hydrostatic, pneumatic, functional, and other required valve testing.
  • Identify defective or damaged valve components and recommend appropriate repair or replacement.
  • Follow OEM procedures, technical specifications, approved maintenance procedures, and applicable industry codes.
  • Maintain accurate valve repair, inspection, testing, and certification records.
  • Ensure proper identification, tagging, documentation, and traceability of valves and components throughout the repair process.
  • Record test results, set pressures, repairs performed, parts replaced, and certification details accurately.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse/Materials team to confirm availability of required valve spares, components, tools, and consumables.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of valve components and equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 6S discipline within the valve workshop and assigned work areas.
  • Ensure tools, testing equipment, lifting equipment, and workshop facilities are properly used and maintained.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, risk assessments, safety meetings, and HSE initiatives.
  • Comply with Permit-to-Work, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), isolation, pressure release, and other applicable safety requirements.
  • Report equipment defects, unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses promptly.
  • Participate in technical, competency, and HSE training programmes.
  • Support senior technicians and supervisors in troubleshooting and failure investigations.
  • Perform other valve maintenance and repair duties as assigned.
  • Requirements & Qualifications

    - Minimum 2–3 years of relevant hands-on experience in valve maintenance, repair, testing, inspection, or re-certification.

    - Experience in an Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Power, or Process Industry environment is preferred.

    - Practical experience working with process valves, control valves, safety valves, PSV/PRV, and associated components.

    - Experience in valve disassembly, inspection, cleaning, lapping, trim replacement, assembly, pressure testing, and set-pressure verification.

    - Experience working in both valve workshops and field environments is an advantage.
