Responsibilities
Job Description
- Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations.
- Develop measures to ensure the safety of personnel.
- To prevent and correct unsafe acts and conditions.
- Implement site health and safety plan.
- Support the development of health and safety policies and programs.
- Organize periodic health and safety meetings.
- Conduct risk assess assessment and enforce preventive measures.
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics.
- Conduct safety orientation for personnel.
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to management.

General Requirements
- Proven experience as a safety office or similar role.
- Knowledge of legislation and procedures.
- Knowledge of potential hazardous materials or practices.
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
- Ability to conduct data analysis and reporting statistics.
- Proficient in Ms Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- B.Sc/HND or its equivalent in relevant field.
- Certificate(s) in occupational health and safety.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001
