Login to ApplyAquada Development Corporation operates an automated rice mill that produces whole grain rice and rice flour, a bakery (using local wholesome ingredients) and a variety of other processes and manufacturing concerns including live stock farming and feed production.
Responsibilities
- Testing new processes.
- Collecting data required to make improvements and modifications.
- Overseeing the construction of new plants.
- Using and developing process simulation software to work out the best production methods.
- Purchasing and installing equipment.
- Using scientific principles related to magnitude, momentum, heat transfer etc.
- Supervising plant operations.
- Investigating and troubleshooting plant/process problems.
- Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets.
- Ensuring that equipment works to its specification and to appropriate capacities.
- Assessing safety and environmental issues.

General Requirements
Criteria We are looking for a process engineer to join our growing bio-based chemicals refining and distillation operation. The ideal candidate must meet all of the following criteria:
- Have excellent training in chemical engineering, industrial chemistry or mechanical engineering.
- Have at least three (3) years of experience working directly in distillation or related operations. (We will consider school projects or thesis projects to count as part of this requirement).
- Be able to demonstrate first-hand understanding of distillation and process operations.
- Be able to write and document process operations very well.
- Be able to demonstrate clear leadership abilities.
- Be able and available to relocate to Umuahia, Abia State.
Any of the following will be considered advantageous:
- Prior experience working in ethanol production or similar process operations.
- Prior experience managing a chemical or industrial process.
- Prior experience designing or developing fermentation and/or distillation processes.
- Facility with process modeling and simulation software.
