Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and execution of programs in education, healthcare, agriculture, and environmental sectors.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans, including objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Track program progress, ensuring alignment with budgets and deadlines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all program-related inquiries.
  • Identify funding opportunities and manage the preparation of grant proposals to secure resources for program initiatives.
  • Manage program budgets and ensure proper allocation, financial accountability, and utilization of resources.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to assess program effectiveness and impact.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing program progress, high achievements, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Foster relationships with community leaders, donors, partners, and organizations to promote program participation and support.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and events related to program areas.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, workshops, and conferences to promote programs and secure partnerships.
  • Oversee procurement and logistics to support program implementation.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

General Requirements

  • Minimum Master degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Public Health, Environmental Studies, MBA, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in program management, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing and fundraising.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in one or more of the organization's focus areas: education, healthcare, agriculture, or environmental conservation is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the local context and challenges in the Nigeria and West African regions is preferred.
