Responsibilities

SDSD is a software and tools development and consultancy company, specializing in analytical and integrated collaborative workflow software and tools. With over 1,000+ customers worldwide, we provide software platform and services to Traders, Shipbrokers, Ship owners, Shipping Agents and the wider Shipping industry.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As part of the company’s transition into a consultancy led solutions provider, we are now looking for experienced Software Engineers to join our Development team.

Reporting directly to the Director of Application Development the candidate will focus on evolving the architecture and hands on software development of both SDSD Software offerings and bespoke solutions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop software in approved designs and/or requirements, adhering to all relevant coding standards and code quali
  • Provide second line technical support when required by the Support team. 
  • Taking part in planning to contribute in software designs and ideas for new functionality, improvements and bug fixes.
  • Produce clean, maintainable and optimized source code.
  • Responsible and team oriented person

General Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience of ASP.NET development - C# or VB.Net
  • Familiar with MVC framework, Entity framework, LINQ, Razor syntax
  • Strong OO design and development skills
  • Strong knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON
  • Familiar with Web Standards, Accessibility Standards and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Familiar with design patterns
  • Familiar with MS SQL Server and skills in database design.

A plus would be:

  • Experience with web services (REST and / or WCF)
  • Experience with building and maintaining ERP and CMS systems
  • Experience in web development for mobile devices
  • Desktop development experience
  • Any other web languages or technologies would be considered as an advance
