Dansa Foods Limited is one of the leading companies in the Food & Beverage sector of the Nigerian Economy and a member of one of the largest manufacturing group in Africa. The company urgently requires the services of experienced and qualifed candidates to fill the Position of Application & Technical Support Analyst.

Job Profile

  • The Application & Technical Support Analyst role is founded in systems administration and application engineering, and is responsible for day-to-day support, plus thought leadership and participation in large-scale infrastructure projects and initiatives.
  • This position supports multiple proprietary applications that comprise a platform which delivers managed security services to clients. Support is provided via standard systems administration processes and procedures, including monitoring, troubleshooting complex technical problems, and resolving data/configuration issues.
  • The Application & Technical Support Analyst also serves as an escalation point of contact for advanced application support issues, and is required to be able to handle many challenging issues related to supporting a large number of widely differing infrastructure systems and large data sets as well as unique networking configurations.
  • Participation in an active on-call rotation is vital to maintaining acceptable levels of service delivery for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for responding to application support escalations which involve troubleshooting technical issues and resolving data/configuration issues.
  • Work with business team to analyze and assess automation feasibility, translating business requirements into technical design document.
  • Ensure quality of coded components/applications by performing end to end unit testing.
  • Provide implementation and post production support for applications.
  • Identify repetitive process and system issues, collaborating with other teams to implement process and technical changes to close gaps.
  • Support the organization in the creation and development of an appropriately tailored ERP solution that provides the optimum platform for efficient, rapid, and cost effective delivery of automated processes.
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive execution of process documents in compliance with organizational standards.
  • Support the development of end-user documentation and training materials as required for new functionality and processes.
  • Schedule and monitor execution of existing processes, ensuring ongoing automation integrity, acceptable performance & troubleshooting.
  • Support and drive change management of existing processes as per new requirements using a structured change control process.
  • Provide a periodic scorecard to key stakeholders, communicating the ongoing value realized through technology solution & manual efforts required to maintain.
  • Perform server backups and restore data when needed to ensure data availability at all times.
  • Install and rack new equipment/devices in computer room, Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network environment including workstation, and servers
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Collaborate with team on complex projects as required and testing & evaluating new technology.
  • Participate in, or directly work on any additional projects, assignments, or initiatives assigned by management.
  • Provide after-hours and on-call support for client service delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

General Requirements

  • Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Intrinsically motivated to solve problems and enable the success of others.
  • Exudes a constructive and productive attitude under adverse conditions
  • In-depth knowledge of technologically driven Business process and strategy design
  • Experience using and/or supporting one or more of the following technologies:
    • SQL Server
    • MS Dynamics
    • MySQL
    • Postgres
  • Proven experience in administering MS Dynamics and other ERP system.
  • The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach; aptitude for problem solving.
  • Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead, manage and complete multiple concurrent projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • This person must be able to work with the pressure of regular deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Not less than 5 years hands on systems administration or application support experience
  • Familiarity with power shell scripting, Active directory, DHCP, DNS, Exchange, SharePoint, ERP, command line data analysis techniques, MS Office tools, and application life cycle.
  • Virtualization and Cloud computing
  • Basic networking, routing, and security strategies
  • Familiarity with ITIL Foundations preferred, particularly Service Operations processes such as Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
  • Well-spoken and articulate, attention to details with excellent writing abilities.
  • Ability to communicate technical details in a clear and concise manner.
