Our client is a water engineering infrastructure firm with solutions in sales and installation of pumps, sales and supply of valves among others. Our client needs a Service Instrumentation/Control Engineer to Install, repair and maintain mechanical regulating and controlling devices.
Job Description
- Responsible for Installation, repair and maintain mechanical regulating and controlling devices, such as electric meters, gas regulators, thermostats, safety and flow valves, and other mechanical governors
- .Work with customers and field service to configure, install, test and troubleshoot new control system elements.
- Able to troubleshoot and make changes to software programs.
- Identify issues that are electrical, mechanical and software to help pinpoint root causes to tool issues.
- Able to listen and communicate issues to correct person and department
- Participates in technical and commercial clarification meetings when required.
- Interfaces with other discipline engineers to determine instrumentation specifications.
- Coordinates the configuration of digital control systems (DCS) installations
- Evaluates new instrumentation technologies to improve existing systems and resolve process and safety problems

General Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- BSc Degree/ HND and applicable experience
- Successful track record with 5 to 7 years’ in sales/Relationship Management of engineering products.
- Prior Experience in an engineering firm in customer interfacing capacity.
- Ability to read diagrams and work instructions
- Ability to follow verbal and written direction and execute
- Ability to communicate technical and commercial issues with contractors and client
- Write trip reports to include technical issues
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with little or no supervision Proven work experience as a key Senior account manager
- Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Familiarity with sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service attitude.
